Global Village (TM)

Internet Flight Search and Booking System

Click and Fly

Dear travel professionals,

In the way this industry is developing, if you want to stay in business you will need sooner or later a "state of the art" on-line reservation system. Something where your clients can book flights by themselves at a discounted published fare or your own negotiated net fare. The system should be user friendly and "agent friendly" There are a few IBE (Internet Booking Engines) around which would fulfill those minimum requirements, but they all have one thing in common. They are either not available for sale or very expensive. Prices we have been quoted were between US$ 50000-100000 + huge ongoing cost. Not so suitable for a small or medium sized agencies.

However we have come up with an alternative solution. We are producing an IBE ourselves on our terms and it is really not so difficult thanks to the great help we got from Sabre. Well advanced in it's development "Global Village (TM)", yes we own this trademark, is virtually a further enhancement to our previously developed nett fare system. Below is a screen shot of the first web based form of our IBE currently under developement.

Clients will also be able to book hotels and cars on your own discretion since we use 3rd party products in our start up stage and any other products you choose to offer on your web site.

We have designed two plans:

A. You can purchase a license to use the software within your own organization. You would need your own server and Sabre. Clients can then check fares and make reservations from your own web site. The bookings appear on your own Sabre system in a dedicated queue for quality check and fulfillment. Cost is estimated at a one time outlay of US$ 5000.- and you would need your own Linux based web server (about US$ 1000) and a permanent ISDN 128Kb (or ADSL when it matures) Internet connection. Remote technical help to set it all up is included. Of course you would also need to create and maintain your own nett fare database, the software to do this will also be provided by us.

B. You join the Cyber Air Broker network of affiliated travel agencies. The advantage here is a deposit of only US$250.00 is required to secure your geographical agent status with no fixed ongoing costs. Clients would still book online from your own web site. The booking is then processed by our server but will appear on your Sabre system for fulfillment. We would charge you a fee of US$1.50 for each finalized booking.

Flowchart

There is a real bonus in this arrangement. Since we have no doubt that many agents from around the world will join in, any participating agent will benefit from the nett fare data of other participating agents. E.g. A client in Germany looks at the German participating member's web site in search for a fare for relatives from Manila to Frankfurt. Unfortunately the German member has no fare on this sector but our Manila member has many nett fares to offer. Those would now appear at the German member's site ready for booking.

It's just a matter of arranging a wholesale level among participants in order to counteract the move of airlines to do away with travel agents. Every agent would need to produce and update their own nett fare database Software supplied.

Unfortunately we can only accommodate ONE agent only from each country to join plan B. Some places are already taken but prime spots are still available. Think fast. Below is a list of countries that are already reserved by an agent for the Global Village IBE:

Cyber Air Broker is one of the oldest members. We are over 20 years in business.

The critical part of any online reservation system is the recording and updating of all available nett fare data. This can be time consuming and requires considerable man power. Readily available data can be used or converted but may be biased or incomplete. To minimize this problem Cyber Air Broker is presently training well qualified and dedicated staff in a third world country. Our generous wages there are still a fraction of going levels in the USA/W.Europe/Australia etc.
